. EHSI / RMI instruments
Fly procedures with digital navigation instruments.

. Nearby airports
Quickly find alternate airports, their distance, and relative direction.

. Real-time flight information
Heading, track, distance, ETA, ETE, speed, and waypoints.

. iCloud synchronization
Sync your data between multiple devices.

. Airport information & diagrams
Runways, frequencies, navaids, NOTAMs, and weather data. Runway diagrams with the wind - now or at any TAF time - and to-scale airport diagrams with taxiways and your position.

. NOTAMs
Runway closures highlighted, cancelled filings followed, duplicate filings folded together, and the distance to each one.

. User points
Add custom waypoints by tapping the map or entering coordinates.

Version History In this update:
• Offline readiness — see at a glance whether a flight can be flown without a connection. A route, a Direct To or a saved route is checked along the track and 10 NM either side: the map, the VFR chart and the terrain of every region, the databases, the airport diagrams, and the NOTAMs and weather on the device. One button downloads everything the flight needs, and a capsule on the map shows the progress.
• Data status — More ▸ Data status is a pre-flight check: GPS and location access, the connection, how fresh the weather and NOTAMs are, offline maps and terrain along your route, and the databases; one tap copies a summary for support.
• Airports — a new, smaller database: US frequencies and navaids from the FAA’s official NASR data, and current frequencies, runways and about 2,000 more fields in Europe from openAIP.
• Airport symbols — large and medium airports are drawn with their own runway layout.
• Fixes — SIGMETs, AIRMETs and pilot reports refresh every five minutes again; “Show private” hides private fields again; map symbols come back after Center; a paused download no longer resumes on its own.

As always, this release also includes bug fixes and performance improvements. Blue skies! 2.79 Oct 4 In this update:
• Airspaces — rebuilt with current boundaries: openAIP for 128 countries, 52 more than before, and the FAA for the US.
• TMAs — drawn and alerted as terminal control areas, with their own colour and filter; unclassified areas grouped under Other areas, no longer shown as class A.
• Radio zones — ATZ and TIZ areas now raise a “Radio contact mandatory” alert with the frequency to call.
• Safer database updates — every download is checked over a secure connection before it replaces your data, so an interrupted update leaves the old data in place.
• openAIP is credited on the map and in the airspace details.

As always, this release also includes bug fixes and performance improvements. Blue skies! 2.78 Oct 2 In this update:
• Taxiing — the airport diagram follows your aircraft on the taxiways, with track up and the ground frequencies.
• Taxi route — enter your clearance and see it drawn to the holding point, every runway crossing marked hold-short.
• Runway awareness — Approaching, On runway, Lined up with the length left, Not on runway: shown and spoken.
• Route plan — a planned departure and cruise speed give the time over every point, ETD · ETE · ETA, and a NOTAM check of the end runways.
• Station menu — live ETA, the flight category at arrival, sunset, the frequency and the heights; skip, remove or replace a point for this flight, with the minutes a replacement adds or saves.
• Landing and departure runway — chosen in flight from the route menu, with the wind and NOTAMs at your ETA.
• The route on the map — the leg you are flying in magenta, the legs behind you grey, the ones ahead green.
• TAWS — on the ground, a preview against 1000 ft above the field instead of solid red; in the air, your GPS altitude, with the field's own plain in yellow after take-off and on final.
• A cleaner top row, and one set of buttons across Search, Nearby, Routes and Points.

• Approach, entry & exit alerts — get a heads-up as you near controlled or special-use airspace, when you enter it, and when you leave. Approach alerts look ahead along your track and your climb/descent, so a TMA you're climbing into won't catch you out.
• Know what to do — each alert shows the entry requirement at a glance (e.g. "Two-way radio contact required", "Clearance required", "Transponder mandatory") plus MOA/Restricted activity times where available.
• Less noise — alerts stay quiet during taxi, take-off and on arrival into your destination, and you choose which airspace types alert you (Controlled, Restricted/Prohibited/Danger, Military, TMZ/RMZ).
• Smart Airspace — optionally fade out airspace that's far from your altitude so the map shows what's relevant to you right now.
• All airspace controls — display, alerts and Smart Airspace — now live together under Map Layers → Airspaces.

Advisory only — always confirm against official sources and your altimeter.

Air Navigation now draws three concentric "time rings" around your current position — 10, 20, and 30 minutes — sized live by your ground speed. Each ring is labeled with the distance you'll cover in that time (e.g. 10 min · 18.5 NM), so you can instantly judge whether the next waypoint, weather cell, or alternate is within range.

Designed for real flight conditions. The rings only appear when the data is trustworthy:
• Active above ~30 kt ground speed — taxiing and ground-jitter stay clutter-free
• Hidden when GPS accuracy drops below useful precision
• Smoothed speed-input prevents the rings from "pulsing" with every GPS tick
• Auto-updates as your speed or heading changes — no manual refresh needed

Reads in your preferred units. Labels automatically follow your distance-unit setting (NM, KM, or SM) — change the unit, and the rings re-label on the next update.

On by default — turn off when you want. Open Map Layers → Annotations and toggle Time rings off. The setting persists across launches.

• Helicopter hover: the position arrow now switches to compass heading the moment ground speed drops — no more multi-second lag while the stale GPS track lingers.
• On the ground: an invalid GPS track no longer causes the arrow to jump to a false southerly bearing. It stays steady on the compass reading instead.
• In flight with a weak GPS fix: when the GPS course turns noisy, the app automatically falls back to the more reliable compass heading until the signal stabilises. 2.64 May 30 This update includes numerous bug fixes, as well as stability and performance improvements. • A new built-in User Guide — step-by-step help with screenshots, right inside the app.
• Refreshed design — cleaner map controls and buttons that look right in both light and dark mode.
• EHSI improvements — clearer readouts and a more accurate OBS knob.

Version History In this update:

Version History FlyGo now watches the airspace around you and helps you stay clear of trouble.
